How it works
Seven steps from your vehicle to a record you can share. Skip anything you don't know yet.
1. Add your vehicle
Pick the year, make, model and engine, or fill them in from your VIN. Then check they match your vehicle. Anything you skip shows as unknown.
2. Find a part you installed
Search by brand or part number. Not sure of the number? Save the part and add it later.
Search from a photo of the part's label Coming later
3. Confirm it's the exact part
Check the part number and the vehicles the manufacturer lists. Parts in one family can differ, so match the exact number.
The manufacturer's vehicle list isn't the same as what an EO covers.
4. See the EO info and its status
If the part has an EO, you'll see its number and a link. The status next to it says whether a CARB document is linked.
Every part shows a status, such as "Not looked into yet" or "EO document found at CARB. Showgone hasn't reviewed it." A status is never a ruling on the part.
5. Add receipts, the install date and a photo
Keep the paperwork with the part it belongs to. Don't know the date? Leave it as unknown.
Photo uploads aren't available yet. You can add photos later.
6. Save it and see what's missing
Your record lists every detail that's still unknown, so you know what to look for.
This shows which fields are filled in. It doesn't rate your vehicle.
7. Show or print your record
Show it on your phone or print it for free. Each part keeps its source links.
Showgone keeps your records. It can't tell you how a smog check will go. CARB and your smog tech decide.
